Dehydrating Local Foods and Seasonings

Students will discuss benefits of dehydrated foods, easy preparation tips for fruit and vegetables, as well as learn to make their own seasonings from vegetables and herbs that are available locally. Students will sample a variety of freshly dehydrated fruits and vegetables. Seasonings will be available to sample, as well. We will talk about how to use dehydrated foods in every day dishes. Different types of dehydrators will be on display.
